Keyword placement can make a big difference
in the overall rankings of your site. It actually does matter where
your keywords appear. The search engines have a big job to do. They
are trying to provide relevant results from our searches so they
use all of the bits and pieces on a website that they can to determine
how relevant your site is.
If you determine while doing your keyword
analysis what your best keyword phrase is then you would not
use that word in the bottom of your text on the page. You also must
make sure not to "stuff" all of your keywords for each
page. Each page of your site should be very descriptive about itself
and optimized on its own content.
